Narrow digits took a hold of the pedestal to pull her body around it, just slightly, in order to catch a glimpse of the figure. With the cool caress of the night’s cloak, Sarah continued to press further on; she was always just a few feet from reach, it was best that she didn’t get too close. He was not alone in worrying about others around, for the woman kept her senses on alert for anything .. rather anyone .. else lingering in the same shadows she found shelter in.

What draws her attention, ultimately, are the contents within the bag he was taxed with. She had not remembered seeing any bottles within his office, nothing that would cause this sort of melodious sound to ring out into the air.

For one carrying heavy articles, he moved rather quickly. Surprised, Sarah started to pick up the pace and occasionally looked past her shoulder, whilst bringing the brim of the hood lower. So far, there was no indication of anyone else following her footsteps, giving her the clear to continue without adding another layer of worry into the ravine of her thoughts.

Orsino, I wanted to go out on a walk, not a chase. The bridge of her nose wrinkled as she kept her musings to herself. It was rather unfortunate that tonight’s events unfolded like this, it was not part of Sarah’s primary plan - but what was the First Enchanter doing wandering  out under the night’s embrace - when he seemed to not be interested when spoken to about it earlier?

Gathering the folds of her dress in her palms, a sly smile painted her lacquered lips and she danced with the threat of being caught by him. But what was he to do? Report her? When he himself was at risk?

At the bottom of the large flight of steps that led one to the Gallows, he leaned against the closest wall to catch his breath. He’d made this particular trip many times before, but never with such a heavy burden, and he was getting winded. Running a hand through his hair, Orsino trembled with a mixture of adrenaline and the chill from the lake air as he made his way to the docks, pausing mid-step when he swore, yet again, that he’d heard footsteps, and stole a quick glance over his shoulder.

Just as she believed he was not going to be going much further, seeing that he was having a bit of trouble carrying his items, Sarah stepped in a bit closer. What she didn’t anticipate was him actually stealing a glance past his shoulder.

The woman was quick, but.. not quick enough. She happen to be between two pillars and had no way to really obscure herself from view so quickly. Spinning on her heels, the fabric fluttered around her ankles until she was safely hidden in the shadows again.

“No no no..” Sarah muttered a string of curses after that, keeping it under her breath. Her heart was resounding its beat in her ears as fright assaulted. With her fingers forming fists, Sarah tried to calm herself down long enough to hear if there were retreating steps.
