Think quickly, Sarah. She remained silent in the shadows, simply wishing that there was another way to avoid being seen, but the only option she had was to run back within the Courtyard - and that was not much of a choice. Walking to the nearest pillar, she pressed her body against the column’s surface and tried hide her body completely behind it.

But when she felt the slight change in the ambient, Sarah knew that he was charging a spell and if she didn’t do anything soon to stop him, they were going to cause quite a disruption. Sarah wasn’t going to simply have him attack her without retaliation. She was no fool.

With the odds against her, the mage slowly stepped out from the shadows, which clung to her frame until the light of the heavens spilled down around her. Her head was tilted down, not allowing him to really see her features, not until the hood was pulled away. The pallor of her skin was only intensified by the silver light of the moon.

A hand was brought up so that her finger pressed against the soft, rosy tiers. She was trying to signal for him to be quiet, but already, she could hear the obscenities he might be muttering.

Once the hood of his presumed assailant was removed, the spell dispersed with a hiss as he straightened back up, his brow not knitted together in confusion. He opened his mouth to demand she tell him her reason for being here at the Gallows, or why she was following if that is what she was doing, oh he was ready to just bombard her questions.

But when her finger pressed to her lips, he closed his mouth and reflexively set his jaw stubbornly, leaning down while keeping his eyes on her to reclaim his baggage.

With her eyes darting sporadically about, Sarah nods to him when he remained silent and started to head to his direction. She looked like a scared mouse, a red-haired scoundrel, while running on her toes ( and the balls of her feet ) to reach him. Her hair was undone now and streaming behind her scurried steps like flames.

Oh sun and stars, she was going to get an earful about this later from him, but right now, they had no choice but to refrain from being too loud, lest they wished to get into trouble. When she finally approached him, Sarah reached for the bag as well, to help him carry the burden.

Orsino,” she said with a whisper when her eyes rested on his bag, “Where are we going?” Yes, she included herself on this venture, how was she to back out when they already made their way this far out? Sarah wasn’t overly thrilled with the idea of being caught by the Templars and possibly dragged back, as she was several nights prior. The thought brought a shiver to run its course down the length of her spine.
