With her eyes darting sporadically about, Sarah nods to him when he remained silent and started to head to his direction. She looked like a scared mouse, a red-haired scoundrel, while running on her toes ( and the balls of her feet ) to reach him. Her hair was undone now and streaming behind her scurried steps like flames.
Oh sun and stars, she was going to get an earful about this later from him, but right now, they had no choice but to refrain from being too loud, lest they wished to get into trouble. When she finally approached him, Sarah reached for the bag as well, to help him carry the burden.
“Orsino,” she said with a whisper when her eyes rested on his bag, “Where are we going?” Yes, she included herself on this venture, how was she to back out when they already made their way this far out? Sarah wasn’t overly thrilled with the idea of being caught by the Templars and possibly dragged back, as she was several nights prior. The thought brought a shiver to run its course down the length of her spine.
He supposed he shouldn’t have been surprised when she assumed she’d join him on his little escapade, but he couldn’t stop the surprised expression that he now held. He shook his head at her, moving his bag out of her reach by turning to the side.
“No where.” He whispered back. “I’m…returning to the Gallows after I put this where it is required to go…”
When the bag was moved away from her touch, there was a bit of hurt cross her visage. But the woman masked it by chuckling nervously at how cautious he was. “What is in that bag, you are having a bit of trouble carrying it. You know, I can help you, right?” Ah, Sarah was trying to be logical with him, why should he be burdened with so much when he had someone here willing to assist.
Where was he even going with this? Looking around, Sarah stayed relatively close to him as she tried to listen to the soft hum of the night. “So this is what you do for a bit of thrill, lurk about in the night delivering this.. whatever that is in there .. to some drop off?”
