If Sarah knew his thoughts, she would agree! She would be far more curious than before and would definitely stay at his side. In actuality, she would remain at his side regardless if he told her what he was doing or not. So here she was, with the cloak of darkness, the chill of the breeze at their bodies and curiosity reaching a peak.
When questioned, Sarah furrowed her brows and placed a hand on her hip, “What am I doing here? What are you doing lurking around hauling off this heavy bag? Now, before you are going to the Gallows, who.. is this for?” A thought crossed her mind as her lovely gaze hardened, “You’re not doing some Templar’s dirty work, are you?”
No, she wasn’t leaving his side, with each step he took, she was right next to him.
Let’s face it, Orsino, you’ve got an accomplice.
“Me?” He was almost offended, though he supposed looking from the outside in it certainly looked as such. “This isn’t some gift for a Templar addict! This is a scholarly pursuit, to learn about something we are not allowed to teach in the Circle.” He shuffled his feet and felt like he should change the subject before he revealed to much. As much as he was fond of Sarah, he couldn’t trust her with his secret. He couldn’t trust anyone with it.
“These clothes you ah…borrowed.” He pinched the fabric at his belly and pulled at it lightly as he spoke. While he continued, however, he turned and started walking, having wasted enough time already. “They fit well.”
“Good, wait a moment,” What did he just say? Did he mention something about an addiction? Oh now this scenario was getting far more interesting than a normal walk would have been! “Addiction?” Her eyes slowly lowered to the bag and her eyes had narrowed into slender slits. “So, if this is not for a Templar..” It was a personal delivery. Was it to someone dear to him?
A secret lover?
With assumptions flying about in her thoughts, she was directed to look over his attire. She smiled warmly and then even hinted at the softest of pinks to rise to her face. Thank goodness for the darkness surrounding them both.“Orsino, it was a bit tricky to find clothes that would fit your body type, it looks.. ” Sarah rubbed the back of her neck and cleared her throat before trying to match his steps. “.. It looks like it fits."
The awkward moment passed, thankfully, and Sarah shook her head clear of those thoughts.
"Though I did not borrow them with this intention!” She exclaimed, quietly.
