Sarah was looking the man over, out of her own curiosity. His mechanical hand was noted, and when it rose to his ear, she sat up on her stool with narrowed eyes. She looked down smiling, for it was unusual for her to be hallucinating at this hour - it was not that late at night, was it?
Or perhaps she did see right. He had pointed ears. Was he one of those creatures lost in myth? Perhaps it was not the best time to start flinging questions - he was handling her drink - after all.
“Actually, I am passing through. I have an exhibition at one of the museums in the city,” she said this rather nonchalantly as her fingers busied themselves searching for the money in her clutch.
“I decided to perhaps have a drink, something to ease my nerves and .. well the coffee is always a welcomed treat at this hour.” Her eyes rose to watch him work his magic, but could not help but to look at his ears.
“Ah. Well, that’s interesting, might come by sometime.” Rune came back over and set her drink down. He was a tall one too, coming in at seven foot and change.
He took a seat across from her, leaning back in his chair and putting his feel up on a few boxes stacked behind the bar.
It was obvious she was not much of a drinker just by the look that crossed her fair features. The bridge of her nose wrinkled slightly when picking up the drink, already she anticipated the taste. “Oh, do you enjoy art? I mean, I don’t meet many artsy fellows when I go out.” Slowly, she brought the drink to her lips but kept her gaze on him.
A hard gulp went down her throat, not from the drink, but realizing that she dwarfed him! Sarah coughed a bit and settled the drink on the counter. She tried to regain her lost composure, “S - sorry, it’s not the drink,” before she could offend him, Sarah wanted to reassure him it was not his fault she reacted in such a manner.
