He hadn’t time to answer her before he felt her fingers hook swiftly into his own and the young woman suddenly pressed against him. He started to panic and almost pulled away, thinking this was an assassination attempt and he had foolishly placed trust in her, barely missing her words. Before he could inquire her about why he should do such a thing, he heard the footfall. Heavy footfall, that could very well be the sound of someone wearing armor. Heavy armor. Maybe even Templar armor! Or was he being over imaginative again and what he heard wasn’t what Sarah heard?…Either way…

Responding to her order, no it was not an order, it was a simple task that he’d have to oblige to unless he desired to be recognized which, of course, he didn’t want. Nervously, and painfully awkwardly, he wrapped his arms around her midsection and bowed his head to the slope of her shoulder.

If he stood at full height, he might give himself away if anyone really did know who he was. With him leaning over, awkward as it was, to Sarah, she was able to pretend that they were simply two people reuniting, friends, lovers, comrades. Fingers released his hands and found their way around to the back of his head, where they brushed his scalp lightly and let his hair drift between them. Her perfume had not worn away, thankfully, and she prayed that it would help him relax somewhat.

If there were heavy footfalls behind her, she could only assume the worst, but she was trying to focus on the beating of their hearts once her body came into such a close contact with his own. “My darling,” she said this aloud, making sure that she was heard and that they were left undisturbed. Because, honestly, why would anyone want to interrupt any couple that were engaging one another.

For desired effect, a hand drifted away from the back of his neck and brushed his ear. This was done purposely and Sarah would never admit that she simply wanted to see how his body reacted to the touch. Keeping her cheek resting on his temple, Sarah lifted her head somewhat when the figure had walked past them. “Good news, not one of your Templars,” softly, she whispered to his voice as she withdrew her hand. “So ..is this how you get your thrills?”
