Morbid? No no, Rune. I didn’t mean for it to sound like that. But it is rather true, an artist is often well known after their passing, their works admired and placed upon white-washed museum walls for display, or bought to adorn someone’s expensive home.” She twitched her lips slightly to form a smile, though it was now well hidden behind the glass she was drinking from.

But, as she spoke, she did notice the intricate details upon his flesh. Sarah’s eyes narrowed slightly as her scrutinizing gaze lingered on the scales a little too long. Finally, curiosity finally made Sarah break her silence, “May I ask, what exactly.. are you?” She didn’t mean for it to sound so blunt, perhaps the alcohol was finally taking its effect.

She was rather a light-weight, wasn’t she.

…she would probably go under one of the more light weight people he’d met.

“Well sure, I suppose that’s one way to look at it. Still strikes me as a bit sad though.”

The second question caught him a bit off guard, but was he was pretty used to it. “Hmm? Oh, I’m a dragon.” The short version. “Just more comfortable in my human form than anything else. Seems more natural to me.”

She sputters a bit and pushes the drink away from her once it is settled down. Think I had enough for one night - for I think I just heard him say he was a dragon. Sarah took a moment to recollect her thoughts before glancing back at his direction. Her lips parted once, but words had failed to spill free. A hand came up instead and rubbed her face, then allowed two fingers to pinch the bridge of her nose.

“A dragon?” She finally said when opening her eyes to set themselves on his gaze. Sarah dreamed of dragons, elves, all sorts of mystical and mythical creatures. The idea of meeting one felt too-familiar to the woman, so much that it left her nearly speechless. Nearly.

“I draw dragons, sometimes I see them when I dream. It helps that I do book overs for fantasy novels on the side. But to meet one, I never .. I .. ” She still couldn’t believe what she was seeing sitting right across from her. “I am sorry, I didn’t believe them to be real..” The woman now stared, still in slight disbelief.
