“Well, I couldn’t really just call an ambulance,” Sarah mumbled softly while trying to support him enough so that he wouldn’t slip free. She was not aware of his true condition, where he came from or why he was here. She believed in angels, but always imagined that they were always another spirit that was veiled in their reality. But he was here, she was touching him. For a moment, Sarah had to ground herself and stop being awe-struck.

Aunduin walked behind them, sniffing about and offering a few encouraging barks as Sarah moved him from the line of trees to a bench situated at the path. Ever so gently, her arm unraveled itself from around his frame and she seated him on the bench, but made careful not to touch his wings.

Kneeling before him, her hands rested on her companion, who was eagerly looking up the man, as if he sensed something different about him. Noting that Aunduin was calm, she took a deep breath and turned her green eyes upward to meet his gaze. “I.. don’t think it would be wise to take you to a hospital. Look, as long as you promise me no funny business, my house is not far from here. I have a first aid kit, it’s not much, I am no doctor, but I can help as much as I can.”

She couldn’t believe what just spilled out from her lips. Inviting a stranger into her home? But what else could she do? Leave him here to face muggers, perhaps people who would call the police, get the media involved? It was not seldom that a winged person appeared in public around here.

“Just take a break here. Let me know what you wish to do when you are ready to move again.” Gently, she brushed Aunduin’s head as her free hand pressed to her chest, trying to steady her heart.

Castiel blinked blearily at her. Funny business? Did she think he was doing this for the sake of entertainment? He closed his eyes and rubbed his forehead, heaving a sigh. His head hurt, and it felt like his heart was beating against his temples. Which was impossible, because he knew where his vessel’s heart was, and it was nowhere near his head. That could mean it was his brain pulsing against his fingers…and that was somewhat concerning.

As she told him about her first aid kit he shook his head, which only made him grimace, as it aggravated his headache. “That…won’t be necessary.” He assured her, voice hoarse. “I just need to…sit quietly for a moment.” His grace was not as strong as it used to be, but it would replenish in time, and then he’d fell much better. Yes. Everything would be fine.

A lump was swallowed rather roughly as she watched the man, looking for anything that might have caused his affliction - but nothing appeared apparent to her. The way he hinted, however, at his temples, gave away that the source of pain was perhaps a headache. Her heart felt lighter at the thought that perhaps it was not as serious as she assumed it would have been. Sarah languidly stood up and tried to offer him a comforting smile.

“You need some water, that is what you need, perhaps some aspirin as well,” lush tiers pulled to a corner, smirking at him as she decided to at least keep him company. Aunduin, who had grown just as curious as his master, curled at the man’s feet and continued to stare at him. Sarah’s voice snapped his attention back to her face, “Would you like me to stay until you are..” and her eyes roamed to his wings before she finished the sentence, “..ready to fly? Or walk! I mean I assumed you flew..”

Way to go, Sarah.
