If you were around him on an eventful day, the rabbit hole would seem to just keep going. This was one of the quieter days for him. In the past there had been everything from a necromancer attack, to an alien invasion. Most recent was the mob war. “Somehow, I don’t think that she meant dropping into this city though.”
He arched an eyebrow at her. “I don’t see what there is to be embarrassed about.”
“I highly doubt she would want me around this city.” Sarah said with a mutter while lifting her gaze to Rune and offering a smirk. The woman wouldn’t indulge him with the details of her private life, is that what people did here, talk about themselves to a bartender that would lend an ear?
“Well, I have several reasons. Staring at you for one, being ignorant about the on-goings around here. Oh, and let’s not forget, the effect of alcohol,” her tongue loosened up far more than she wanted it to. Standing up, Sarah shook her head and pulled her clutch to her bosom, where it tapped at her lightly. “I should go find something to eat, hotel’s room service is rather pricey and well.. not a famous artist yet.” She laughed lightly and then pressed her lips firmly while attempting not to smile.
