The last thing that Sarah wanted to involve herself were the inner workings of this city. She had come for a visit and never intended to remain for long to know of the politics, scandal and mysteries that this city held. However, who was not to say that she was not interested and curious in the slightest.“Jim Moriarty, Skara Devang.. the Mortus Familia.” The words were spoken in whispers to herself whilst idle hands took life and turned the clutch around in them. Would she remember the names? Probably not, for her mind was filled already with many questions that she dared not ask. Not yet.
“You can summon them?” All of a sudden, both hands came to the counter and she leaned toward him. Intrigue was written across her features whilst depths of viridian widened. Why was she so interested in the fact that he can call them forth? She caught herself and regained her lost composure, “May.. May I see them?”
“Their actually invisible.” He cup floated up and around her, then back down. “Only time I’ve seen them is when Merlin picked one apart to learn how to summon them himself. Only other thing I can summon is a little imp to run messages for me.”
It was a strange feeling, for her eyes were clouded from viewing these spirits. These eyes of hers, that could look past the layers of human perception, were now shifting erratically as if to search for the source that brought this cup about. “Oh.. ” it was all she could muster while trying not to appear so dumbfounded.
“I must seem rather ordinary,” she said with a light chuckle, “I am not some figure head, I hold no extraordinary gifts.” Her arms folded over the counter, “Just a woman who is rather peckish, though I admit, I can say I never had a meal prepared by someone who was I was blind to.”
