“What the designer have in mind for you?” Sarah asked quietly, probing into his personal life just to satiate her curiosity, she had not intended it to be rude of her. “Just metal working?” Her eyes slowly drifted to his metal hand and frowned a bit at his next words.
“May I ask how old you..are?” With so many creatures and a myriad of species here, she could only imagine that many were centuries older than her, well she assumed that much anyway. “Maybe you can add it to your collection, hold on to it - I might become famous .. one day.”“Errrr…lets just say the weren’t the nicest group.” Rune shook his head. “And I learned the metal working myself. Among other things.”
“Twenty eight. Not very old at all. I’ll keep an eye out for your work though.” He winked at her as the doors to the kitchen opened, food floating out to her and setting down in front of her.
Oh! It was good to hear that he was of a considerably average age and not thousands of years old. She would have felt even more awkward! Deciding not to pry further about what they did to him, Sarah simply put it to rest.
She reached behind her head and rubbed her neck lightly when he mentioned her work. It was rather flattering of him to say that, she usually didn’t seem overly proud of what she painted - especially when it came from her dreams.
“Ooh, that does smell good.” Again, her stomach reminded her not to skip lunch next time! The floating food was a bit odd, but she would dismiss the feeling of uneasiness simply by taking a fork and getting down to business. “How long do you have before you can take your leave?”
Looking up at him, she chuckled and started to poke around into the fries. “Bon Appétit,” she whispered quietly before taking a mouthful of food into her mouth.
