” All right, all right. I won’t argue about it, just trying to not inconvenience you is all!” Sarah laughed lightly, feeling more comfortable now that she has eaten and enjoyed the friendly company of Rune. With the fries nearly all gone, she took a napkin to her lips and sighed in satisfaction.“Well then, would you like to leave? I mean, it is getting a little later than I intended to stay out.” The night life, it wasn’t for her. Then again, neither was accepting rides from someone she just met. But, Rune had been cordial and she could really save the money for fare tomorrow.
Rune shrugged. “We can leave now if you like. Not a problem at all for me.” He stood up, straightening his tie out of habit before opening the bar’s divider for her. He turned and waved for her to follow him as he walked towards a spiral staircase. “Car port is down here.”
Before he lifted the divider, the woman finished the last few bites of her food and meekly pushed the bowls aside. “Sorry,” she whispered to the spirits that were possibly charged with cleaning the mess.
Moving past the bar, she turned to the staircase and nods, “Ah very nice, a garage below.” She then looked at his face with a chuckle before descending, “Don’t tell me that spirits play the part of your chauffeur, too.” Down she started to go slowly with clutch in hand, but allowed her eyes to wander about.
