Before he lifted the divider, the woman finished the last few bites of her food and meekly pushed the bowls aside. “Sorry,” she whispered to the spirits that were possibly charged with cleaning the mess.

Moving past the bar, she turned to the staircase and nods, “Ah very nice, a garage below.” She then looked at his face with a chuckle before descending, “Don’t tell me that spirits play the part of your chauffeur, too.” Down she started to go slowly with clutch in hand, but allowed her eyes to wander about.

They walked through a small lab area, which was in a state of controlled chaos.. Books, scrolls, and other odds and ends were stacked on a table against a wall. Along the ceiling, slightly glowing blue runes were etched in. A table in the center had half finished projects sitting on it.

Rune plucked a set of keys off a rack that was mounted on the wall next to another door. “No. I’m pretty protective of my cars. I’d rather drive.”

He opened the door, flicking a light switch as he entered. Two rows of sports cars came into view as he walked in, pressing the unlock button and heading towards the set of headlights that flashed in response. A Bentley of all cars this time. Rune started walking down the row of vehicles with her.

She was in awe. Her eyes could not help but to try and take in every detail of the area she was now passing through. The books were the first thing that caught her eye and she wondered just how archaic they had been! The blue glow caused Sarah to look up, almost tripping over herself, since she was enticed by the runes above her head.

“Oh I mean I would be t –” she stopped dead in her tracks when she noticed that once the light turned on, Sarah felt like she was standing in a car lot. He had so many different cars! Expensive cars. Her eyes widened, and sheepishly, Sarah smiled. She felt a pang of jealousy; all the woman had was a used old pick up truck.

And here he was, leading her to a Bentley. Sarah covered her face with the clutch and followed behind him rather quietly. She could never afford any of these vehicles; this was torture for her!
