She glowered at him and lowered the clutch from her face, “Well, I should expect the unexpected by now,” she whispered softly. There were many glances given over her shoulder as she walked, for she couldn’t believe the array of vehicles at his disposal. Just what didhe do to earn all of these?Pushing aside the thought, Sarah shook her head and walked to the passenger side of the car. Opening the door, Sarah felt awkward getting into this luxury car. After strapping herself in, she placed both hands on the clutch, which rested on her lap. Her skirt was tugged a bit, making sure it hadn’t bunched up too much. With all her squirming about, she made it obvious how uncomfortable she was. “Sorry, not.. not used to such lush.”
“Well you know, when you can afford it, why not.” He drove to a ramp and out of the car port, pulling into the traffic. “Odd jobs around here are a good way to make money besides the bar. You’ll need to tell me the address by the way.”
“Why not.” She mumbled and sunk into her seat somewhat, glowering all the while. Ah some people were truly lucky. Oh, right, she had to give him the address, otherwise, how in the world would they get there. Unless he could read her mind - which was hinting at envious thoughts at the moment!
“Right, sorry. About five miles from here, on the corner of Arthur Avenue and Harper, there are several restaurants there, it is close to the coast.” She could have never paid for the hotel, it was luxurious, but the museum had put her up for a few days and who was she to refuse. Everything had been paid for!
