She understood the mob situation, the trickster part was a bit odd but, she was coming to understand that this was just how things were around here. Sarah listened with interest, but looked on to the traffic as well as they neared her hotel.It was the next series of words that caused a double take. Portals. Aliens. What? Oh, there was nothing normal about this, Sarah’s brows rose as she simply stared in sheer disbelief. Fingers came to pinch at the bridge of her nose just at how nonchalant he was about this!
“Uh..” She began stammering. She hated doing that. “Uh.. yeah, no, wait Niagara is a good distance away still. But, what are you doing up there? If you don’t mind me asking.” Please, for the love of Pete, she hoped it was something a bit more down to Earth.
“A dragon escaped from a place called Solomon’s Realm. It went and thought the falls were a good place for a nap. Got hired to get rid of him.” Another turn and he chuckled, thinking back. “Air force was not happy with me or him when I shifted and we got into a fight.”
All she could think about was Godzilla. She had not heard about this. Perhaps if she did, it would have been in the tabloids - which she doesn’t bother reading. Sarah stared at him, not even fluttering her lashes, after he spoke. She was completely dumbfounded.
When she did muster the strength to speak, a deep breath was taken and she cleared her throat after, “This sounds like some sort of Syfy movie..”
