All she could think about was Godzilla. She had not heard about this. Perhaps if she did, it would have been in the tabloids - which she doesn’t bother reading. Sarah stared at him, not even fluttering her lashes, after he spoke. She was completely dumbfounded.
When she did muster the strength to speak, a deep breath was taken and she cleared her throat after, “This sounds like some sort of Syfy movie..”
“Welcome to my life. A Syfy original, but with with better graphics.” He a bit of a smirk when he said that. Never had someone tell him that one before. Another turn and he pulled into the parking lot of the hotel, driving to the front door to let her out. “Well, nice meeting you Sarah.”
He got his wallet out of his coat pocket and dug through it for a moment before handing over a slightly worn card with his name and number on it. “If you ever need anything, or are just passing through again, just let me know. Always happy to help out or provide a drink.”
“Well, at least your life sounds far more entertaining,” she took off the seat belt and took her clutch in the other hand. A smile was offered to Rune and she cants her head in his direction when he started to fumble with his wallet.
With a warm smile, Sarah tapped the card to his nose and chuckled, “Thank you, Rune, for everything tonight. I will give you a call, invite you to the museum. I have a couple of tickets but.. really.. don’t have anyone to give them to. Could take a date of yours to the exhibit. All right, have a safe night, Mister Dragon."
And with those words, Sarah stepped out the car, waving to the valet who stared down at the vehicle. Closing it, she fixed her skirt and headed to the front doors.
