There was no emotion masking her visage as glowing depths reflected the color of a sea at calm. Coils of scarlet continued their whimsical dance around her freckled cheeks while she inched closer to the First Enchanter and curled her fingers around his own. When the roar grew louder, her own power flared in response. She watched him stare at the heavens, at the creature that would certainly claim their lives - if they did not react quickly.

Languidly, in a lazy fashion, Sarah rolled her eyes to the skies and extended her free arm away from them both. Her fingers spread out and her palm faced the dragon the fiercely cried out at the one that dared to awaken it. The summoner called it forth; it answered obediently. It was on a leash, bound to her command, and when it neared, the level of savagery declined.

Its gaze was a chasm, sucking in their reflections as the pupils dilated for a moment. The scaly hide reflected the touch of moonlight, causing it to glisten while its muscles rippled underneath its monumental frame. Fire threatened to pour from its divorced maw, but embers simply crackled about instead. He stared at Orsino then focused its attention on the woman and wolf adjacent to the older elf.

She concentrated purely on the form as it flew closer and cast its shadow across the cliffs. Its wings blew currents at them, sending her attire to flutter about erratically. Aunduin growled quietly, but stood between Sarah and Orsino as the dragon neared her awaiting hand.

Paralyzed by fear Orsino had no choice but to watch owlishly as the grand beast landed before them, it’s wings unfurled slightly, embers glowing within it’s mouth as it lowered it’s head on the beautifully muscled and arched neck toward her hand. The moonlight danced on it’s scales, projecting ever so faintly on the cliffs beside it. Unknowing of what his body was doing, his fingers curled tightly against Sarah’s and squeezed, his knuckles turning white from the force behind the action.

A scream rose in his throat, a sound that he forced back down with a shaky gulp that sent his body into a violent fit of shudders that only worsened the anxiety and fear that raged in both his heart and his stomach. The growl from the wolf helped none. In fact it snapped him back to when hearing such a noise meant to turn and run before sharpened teeth could tear into the first bit of flesh they found. But, despite all the concerns and fears that came forth, he was amazed.

Here were two beasts, one that was a travel companion, the other a mere puppet to her whims? A dragon, summoned from it’s sleep by a woman who came not even to it’s knees? Oh, why had he indulged in his curiosities? What else could she do? Just how dangerous could a High Summoner be?

“Maker’s Breath…” He murmured breathlessly, unaware he had been holding his own, as the dragon closed the distance to her outstretched hand.

The connection was made, after much straining to make sure her will overcame that of the beast. Flickers of its flame sizzled in the air and tendrils of smoke rose from its nostrils as they flared out. Menacing, yet beautiful, the dragon was idle for but a moment as it watched Sarah. It extended the lovely, long neck of his, further out as if to take in the scent of the summoner’s naked hand.

As for the High Summoner herself, she seemed to falter slightly, mostly due to the squeezing that the First Enchanter gave her. It hurt to feel his slender fingers crushing her own, it caused her to cringe and attempt to pull her hand away in desperation. “Please calm down, First Enchanter. You’re hurting me, if I focus to much on that, I break this bond,” she whispered between struggling to break free and keeping herself tethered to the dragon.

But just as she said those words, the grandiose creature turned to Orsino, noticing that the man was trembling. Sarah waved her hand and curled her fingers to her palms, drawing back the attention of the beast. Aunduin was busy looking around the area and sniffing the air; Sarah’s actions would surely bring unwelcome attention to them sooner or later.

Later would be favorable.

The most gentle of touches brushed the flames, which stung as they licked at her fingers. Sarah’s hand came to caress between the dragon’s nostrils; her hand appeared tiny against its’ scaly hide. The glow of her gaze had almost dissipated completely when she finally made physical contact.

“You wanted to know.. what a High Summoner was..”

She slowly turned her gaze back to Orsino; Sarah appeared a touch tired. It was seen in her eyes and how it lacked a bit of energy. To call upon beasts such as these, to keep them in control, was a daunting task. “Your answer came soaring down from the heavens.”
