The Man Who Breathed Sparks ☵ Sarah

friendof–fire:

Unlike her, Dustfinger was more than capable of being around a stink like the dye works and not minding it the way she might. It wasn’t the first time he’d been grateful that the stench could hide him from an enemy. Though, as obnoxious as the smell was, she was annoying him far more. She constantly seemed to misunderstand and overestimate him, and then react like everything he said was utterly ridiculous! As if his opinions and words did not matter just because she could disagree in a loud voice.

“I don’t expect you to understand anything.” He said to her, deciding to withdraw from her completely and quit bothering to try. Maybe she had never met a coward before, or at least someone who didn’t let foolish notions lead him around by the nose and get him killed. The fire-eater was tired of being shouted at. He just wanted to go home to his girls. He stroked the bushy tail of his sleeping marten as it hung outside of the bag, and turned to go. Unlike her, he knew the way back through the labyrinthine alleys, and he was perfectly okay leaving her here to figure it out. Maybe she could shout the walls and houses down to get the path she wanted! He had to smile at the bitter thought.

“Melodramatic," So this was the last word she said to him as he departed ways from her. Sarah was not perturbed by his behavior, the actual stench of the river of dye caused more of a headache at this point. The maiden shrugged and didn’t bother in a farewell, he didn’t seem interested in it. At least some good came out of this meeting; she got some information out of him after all. To that thought, she smiled to herself - at his back.

It would have been nice to have a guide, but at least she had an idea where to start looking for the Black Prince. It would have been nice to have a little company, someone that dared to behave spontaneously, but to find folks like these were few and far between. With a turn of her heel, Sarah faced Aunduin and smirked before facing the complexity ahead. Trying to find her way out!

Pride swelled up in her chest, and without much direction, she started to walk away, sack in hand, lupine in tow. Eventually she would find her way out, if she didn’t scream out in frustration. But, for now, she wanted to give herself some distance from him and take her leave of this city.
