She laughed, “Oh wow, you are quick then. Dinner is in about an hour and a half, you have plenty of time.” Sarah looked at her dress and wrinkled her nose. She might have to do a little shopping, “I have my cell on me, actually, give me a text when you are nearby. I will let them know you are on your way.” She gave him her cell number when he was ready to jot it down.“Okay I will. And I know. I only have to put on clothes after all.” Poking fun at her. “But okay, I’ll take my time then. See you in a while then.”
After saying goodbye he headed to the shower, pulling from clothes from his closet as he went. He usually dressed well anyway, but that was beside the point.
Sarah had picked up a pair of shoes to match her dress, which was somewhat a gift to her. This would be one of the very few times she would be caught wearing it - unless she had more formal dinners planned.
That was highly unlikely.
She had told the hostess that she was expecting someone. To seat him with her. The museum’s staff invited her to eat, so she gladly went, of course. They were seated around her, talking among themselves and at times she did include herself in the conversation, but she was mostly listening.
She favored that most of all.
A bit self-conscious, Sarah kept crossing, and re-crossing, her legs. She couldn’t find a comfortable spot and the dress was rather close to the form. On top of that, she had been nursing a glass of red wine while waiting for Rune - who ultimately was the only person she had carried a conversation with longer than the folks here.
Did Dragons eat Italian food? Maybe she should have asked that.
