“Well, Alistair, if you’re not careful, you might find yourself with a new best friend,” she playfully says while her hand came down to pet at her friend. “He will get rather spoiled and follow you on back home.” Softening her gaze, her features reflected an apologetic expression, “I will pay you for that jerky, the rascal ..doesn’t seem to get enough.”
“Oh! don’t worry about paying, it’s fine.” He chuckled and smiles, petting the pup as well. he handed her the bag of jerky. There was still some left “I can make more, it’s easy actually.” He gave a shrug as he stood “I’m staying with Fenris at his manor, there is a Mabari there as well as two cats.”
Well this was rather unexpected! She looked down at the bag and took a step back. “Are you sure? I mean, giving me your dried meats - a stranger?” She was not accustomed to people being nice, not to her. She was an elf, she was supposedly below humans.
Yet..
Sarah bit her lip and tried to hide her smile behind her teeth. Looking back up, after he mentioned a hound and cats, Sarah started to chuckle lightly, “A full house! I wish I could have a cat at times, perhaps it wouldn’t try to eat me out of house and home.”
