Keeping the hood of her cloak close to her features, she prayed that she would not be recognized by slavers. Wandering about in Darktown wasn’t ideally part of her plan, but she knew that there was a man named Anders who ran a clinic here. And where medicine was needed, so were herbs.

Sarah had come across the very same clinic she was looking for, how did she know this was the establishment? The man who greeted her was evidence enough.

“Oh, no I do not need to be healed, there is nothing wrong with me.” At the moment. “I was actually wondering if you would be interested in some medicinal herbs. You are.. Anders, right?” The hood was pulled down slightly, letting the ringlets of scarlet hair to peer through. Green eyes were set downcast a moment at the small basket she carried, one that was initially covered with a few fabrics.

He gave her a disarming smile, somehow sensing how tense she was. “Yes, I am Anders. I don’t have many herbs left over from the last wave of patients, but maybe I have what you need…?”

His smile eased her enough that physically, he could see her rigidness slowly ease away and her posture changed drastically. Lifting her chin up, eyes met his own and a twitch of her lips indicated that she tried to conceal her own smile.

“It is mostly elfroot, a few mushrooms that I have gathered along with different varieties. I have some leaves that are aromatic, quite strong and good for teas I have noticed.” Sarah pulled back the layers of fabric concealing her merchandise and extended it to him in case he wished for a closer look.

Truth be told, she was spending more time outside the city walls, even if there was potential peril in the woods. But in learning that herbalism was practiced by some, she took it upon herself to provide for the herbalists that hardly could venture far past the city.
