Tender lips were pressed firmly together as she too then glanced at the heavens and basked under its silver light. Feathered lashes lowered to half mast and she smiled.
“Well, I suppose I am sharing the same boat, for I do not have anyone dear to me - though I guess I have grown accustomed to that feeling.” Fingers pulled her hair to the back of her elongated ears and she turned her attention back at the woman. “My name is Sarah, and if you do not mind, I can keep you company until you wish to take your leave from here.”
Pulling the sack across her lap, she started to rummage through and began to gather a small loaf of bread. Tearing off a gratuitous amount, she extended one of the halves to her.
In a thought long forgotten she turns to the woman to hear her talk, smiling as she introduced herself then thought the same. “I am Merethyel, I do not mind having someone to gaze with at all. It is nice to have someone around for these moments.” Her voice as soft as a summer breeze, she put her hand out to grab the bit of bread then put her other hand out to help her got on the log so they can sit together. “So, what brings you here to this place of peace?”
“Merethyel, it is a pleasure then. Not often do I find myself at the coast, well, during the daylight hours. I had not ventured under the tapestry of night.” The light chuckle escaped her lips and she nods when the piece of bread is taken. Soon, Sarah’s cool touch fell to the woman’s gentle hand as she took it and helped herself up and over the log.
Her sandals were getting wet, but she barely was bothered by the fact. She was paying attention to the woman adjacent to her, “I was out actually, picking a few herbs. The hour grew late, seems I can not keep good track of time.” Tilting her head up to the stars, she took a bite of the soft bread, “I have some fruit if you desire something sweet, Merethyel.”
Percival took a seat next to her and glanced over at her “Same, they’re unnerving. I’d rather not face any but at times...
