“Merethyel, it is a pleasure then. Not often do I find myself at the coast, well, during the daylight hours. I had not ventured under the tapestry of night.” The light chuckle escaped her lips and she nods when the piece of bread is taken. Soon, Sarah’s cool touch fell to the woman’s gentle hand as she took it and helped herself up and over the log.
Her sandals were getting wet, but she barely was bothered by the fact. She was paying attention to the woman adjacent to her, “I was out actually, picking a few herbs. The hour grew late, seems I can not keep good track of time.” Tilting her head up to the stars, she took a bite of the soft bread, “I have some fruit if you desire something sweet, Merethyel.”
Shaking her head at the offer, “It is fine I do not desire any fruits at this moment, thank you.” her voice still as tender as a wave brushing the shore line. It was kind of the woman to offer fruit but she was fine with just the bread, she just wanted something that would be a bit more filling and it was the bread given to her. Looking over she saw a beautiful red haired elven woman seemed so kind and wondered what could she be doing without a husband, she seemed so lovely how can she not be married off? Beginning to blush a bit from slight jealousy over the other woman’s beauty she turned away and looked at the stars. “You are very beautiful, Sarah….I…..nothing.” She drifted off into thought soon enough from embarrassment.
Gently she smiled and pulled her hand free from the sack to rest it idly on her lap. Listening intently, she took in the soft sounds of the waves caressing the shoreline and the pleasing voice from Merethyel. She would hold off the fruit til later, perhaps her furry companion would like to have a treat when she got back to the city.
What she didn’t expect however, was for the woman to glance over to her and speak of her features. Sarah was taking a piece of bread and nearly choked from the unexpected surprise she received. Green eyes widened and the lightest of color rose to her freckled visage. Swallowing, she turned to face her directly and chuckled. “You know, that.. was the first compliment I have received in a long time,” it was true, she didn’t often hear kind words such as these.
Placing a hand on the woman’s shoulder, Sarah tilts her head and smiles brightly, “You too share beauty, Merethyel. Which makes me wonder why you are here alone and not sharing this log with someone who you hold dear?” Sarah’s hand, while holding her bread, lifted a few stray curls from brushing her face.
Percival took a seat next to her and glanced over at her “Same, they’re unnerving. I’d rather not face any but at times...
