They blinked at her, examining her in return. There was something interesting about this girl, yet they could not truly place their finger on it. Human? It was never safe to assume, though their appearance was human enough. They merely mused on it for a couple moments before she spoke.

“There are many books here, old and new. Is there one in particular you may be in search for?” Walking around the counter, the Inuentricem walked over to one of the shelves, grabbing one stack of books before walking back over to her. “You are free to search through to your heart’s content.” They smiled, placing the stack on the counter. It was always endearing to see someone so curious about the texts that arrived. While most were from the mortal realm, many a times books from the other realms would end up in his posession. It always made for an interesting read, that much was for sure.

“If you would like a different set of books, do not hesitate to ask.” They assured, before wandering back behind the counter.

She did not catch the way he had looked at her, if she had, Sarah would have been self-conscious and believed that maybe she had something on her face - or stuck in her teeth.

Sarah was quick to assume that this shop was some sort of consignment shop, borderline thrift store. Her eyes scanned the many items and decor found in every nook and cranny that her gaze settled upon. When her attention finally rested on the clerk, assuming he was the owner of the place, a light smile tugged on her lips.

Watching him bring a few books to her, her eyes seem to grow wide with excitement. “The book I am looking for is very archaic, from the Old World, actually. To be more specific, the book serves both as a diary and an encyclopedia regarding creatures, demonic and celestial beings.” The explanation came out in a series of mumbles as she already set in motion the turning of pages of these books.

Sarah knew exactly what she was seeking: Truth. She had heard about a specific book that had been passed down between hunters of the dark. Though, it has been said that this book has already been lost for quite sometime now, even rumored to have been burned, Sarah could not stop searching.

“How did you obtain so many?” She slowly trailed her eyes from the opened books to the clerk. Curiosity was sparked in her gaze and clearly written across her fair countenance. She brushed her fingers over the leather hardcovers and smiled. Yes, some of these were original books, old ones at that. Just how did he come across these?
